Everyday Carry / Steel

A drawer of
small tools,
flattened.

Most of the time you don't need a toolbox. You need to loosen one bolt, measure one gap, or open one bottle — and whatever could have done it is at home. The LYNK Pocket Multi-Tool Card is a single flat piece of steel, 2 mm thick and 39 grams on the scale, cut with the handful of functions that actually come up. Slightly smaller than a bank card, so it drops into a card slot, a bag pocket or a keyring and stays forgotten until the moment it isn't.

Wrenching

The sizes that actually come up

Six hex cutouts run across the face in graduated sizes, with five open-end slots cut into the long edge for the ones a closed cutout can't reach. Between them they cover the fasteners on a bike, a folding chair, a flat-pack shelf, and most furniture that arrives in a box. Card-format leverage has limits — this loosens and tightens, it does not break a seized bolt free.

Measuring

Ruler and angle, engraved not printed

Metric and imperial graduations run along two edges, and a protractor arc is engraved across the face for reading angles off the fold-out arm. The markings are cut into the steel rather than screen-printed, so they don't wear off the way a printed scale does after a season in a pocket.

Opening

Bottle opener, right where the thumb lands

The opener notch is cut at the corner so you can brace the card against your palm and use the whole card as the lever. It works with wet hands and cold bottles, which is the only test that matters.

Stand

Fold-out arm

A slim triangular arm pivots out of a recess in the centre of the card and locks at an angle, turning the card into a stand for a phone at desk height. Folded, it sits flush inside its recess — nothing protrudes to catch on a pocket lining.

Carry

Card-sized, 39 grams

At 80 × 52 mm it is a little smaller than a bank card, and 2 mm thick it takes the depth of about three of them. It sits in a card slot, a bag pocket, or on a split ring through the corner hole. One thing to know before you fly: the serrated edge makes this a restricted item in carry-on baggage. Pack it in checked luggage or leave it at home.

Answers
Can I take it on a plane?

Not in a carry-on. Security screening treats serrated edges as a restricted item and it will be taken off you at the checkpoint. Checked baggage is fine.

Does it fit in a wallet?

Yes. At 80 × 52 mm it is a few millimetres smaller than a bank card in both directions, so it drops into a card slot without catching on the edges. At 2 mm it takes up the depth of roughly three cards — worth accounting for if your wallet is already full.

Will it rust?

Treat it like any black-finished steel tool. The finish protects the metal underneath, so normal pocket and bag carry is fine — but dry it after wet use, and if a deep scratch exposes bare steel, a drop of light oil on the spot keeps it clean.

Are the edges sharp in a pocket?

The serrated edge is cut, not honed — it will not slice a pocket lining, but it will catch on fine knitwear. The sleeve is there for that reason.

Can I really turn a tight bolt with it?

Within reason. A flat card gives you far less leverage than a socket wrench, so treat it as the tool that gets you through an adjustment away from home, not a replacement for the one in your garage.

How do I clean it?

A damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it properly. Avoid abrasive cleaners — they cut through the black finish.

How long will delivery take?

Typically 6–8 business days in total, and that figure already includes the 1 business day we take to dispatch. The delivery estimate beside the Add to cart button shows dates for your own country. Every parcel is tracked and the number is emailed to you. Shipping is free on every order.
